You would not have been able to tell our sports day in Papatoetoe was the first Start Sport New Zealand event in a school! The day was a great success.
We were delighted to get the opportunity to work in South Auckland and particularly with Papatoetoe School for being our pilot school. They have helped us develop the funded programs to where they are today and Papatoetoe has found immense value in the day; and as with any of our sporting events, the children were fantastic and their efforts were second to none.
Here are some words from Diana Tregoweth, principal, about our day with the school.
"Thank you to SportAnalytik who generously came to our school to assess our children's sporting capabilities and encourage them to be more active. Parents and teachers received an extensive report that gave them very useful insights that they were able to follow up on with their children.
I think it would be very helpful for children in Year 5 and 6 to be assessed before they went to intermediate school. Information could be passed to the parents and to the school to assist with next steps for the students. This would encourage students to succeed at activities that are more fulfilling for them."
We discovered some amazing talents and we are looking forward to helping even more children in the area soon.
